Dr Jaky Troy & Dr Michael Walsh
Dr Jakelyn Troy heads the NSW Aboriginal Languages Research and Resource Centre (ALRRC), established by the New South Wales Government within the NSW Department of Aboriginal Affairs, to play a key role in the preservation and revitalisation of indigenous languages in New South Wales. She has extensive experience researching and documenting Aboriginal languages.
The NSW Aboriginal Languages Research and Resource Centre (ALRRC) exists to foster and facilitate the recording, retention and understanding of those languages and to help indigenous communities regain and strengthen access to their languages as a pathway to revitalising their culture.

Dr Michael Walsh, Principal Consultant, is responsible for assisting in the developing of projects to work with indigenous communities, by providing them with tools, techniques, and support to record, preserve and access their languages. It recognises that each language belongs to its community and that each community has the right to control access to the language and materials about it.
The NSW Aboriginal Languages Research and Resource Centre works actively with linguists and other researchers and aims to encourage, support and facilitate their work in ways that are consistent with the rights of the respective language communities.
