2025 National Apology to the Stolen Generations Breakfast
2025 National Apology to the Stolen Generations Breakfast
Message Stick Communications invites you to the 2025 National Apology Breakfast, commemorating the 17th anniversary of the Australian Government’s formal apology to the Stolen Generations.
This significant event acknowledges the profound and lasting impact of the Stolen Generations while reaffirming our collective commitment to truth, reconciliation, and justice for First Nations peoples.
Great Hall, Parliament House, Canberra, Thursday, 13 February 2025, 7:00 AM
Each year on February 13, Michael McCLeod, Founder and Co Chair of Message Stick Communications convienes the National Apology Day Breakfast, bringing together communities, leaders, and allies to reflect on the historic 2008 National Apology to the Stolen Generations.
This event is an opportunity to acknowledge the resilience of First Nations peoples, honour those impacted by past policies of forced removal, and reaffirm our collective commitment to truth-telling, reconciliation, and Closing the Gap.
While the Apology was a significant step forward, much work remains. We must continue advocating for First Nations young people—to ensure they grow up strong in culture, safe from harm, supported in education, employment and economic empowerment.
Join us in remembering, reflecting, and renewing our commitment to a better, more just future for First Nations peoples.
