Established with the purpose of demonstrating that Aboriginal Australians can successfully own and manage a services business, Message Stick and its co-founder and CEO Michael McLeod have also made various contributions to Indigenous economic development, including business ownership and entrepreneurism.

Message Stick Professional Services was established in 2017, and is a software consulting and IT services business, focussed on delivering SAP-related services to its private sector and government customers. Current customers include Department of Defence, National Insurance Disability Agency, Department of Health, and SAP.
Message Stick Professional Services works with various industry and customer partners to invest in a long-term program to support the opportunity for development of digital skills for Indigenous people, thereby ensuring the full participation by Indigenous Australia in the growth opportunity through Digital Transformation.
